Laptop Buying Advice: Go Cheap
This morning when I checked out InstaPundit it had a link to a excellent article in pcmag, an authoritative site. The article gives excellent advice on buying PCs. It makes a lot of sense.
Except I thought of a upset to add to the excellent advice. So I emailed a comment to the post. The comment was accepted and appears on the page of the post. It says:
“One rule I follow when I buy electronics is: buy the cheapest you can get away with. Electronics changes so quick that whatever you buy today will be obsolete in a small while. It’s really dreadful to own a upset that was top of the charts yesterday but is nowhere on the charts today and tomorrow. If you spend too much on a upset that will be obsolete soon you are not likely to upgrade soon enough.”
I happen to believe my excellent advice and follow it.
